Mavhudzi Secondary School, Nyazura, Zimbabwe, 1983
When Zimbabwe had better times then now, after independence, I had the chance to design a
secondary school near Nyazura. It was a reform school based on ideas of learning by doing under ZIMFEP – Zimbabwe Foundation for Education with Production. The project was supported by the
Christian Peace Service and financed mainly by the Swiss government.
The school has several parts, the classrooms, the dormitories, teacher's houses, administration,
dining hall, and other supporting buildings.
